The Real BFFs of New Jersey-Phoenix Children’s Photographer

I recently spent 3 weeks in my home state of New Jersey. I think NJ gets a bad rap…sure, it has some smelly, crowded, urban “not-so-hot” spots, but it also has the Atlantic Ocean, beautiful green rolling hills, unbelievable Fall foliage and the best tomatoes and sweet corn in the country! They don’t call it The Garden State for nothing!
While visiting, I reconnected with an old friend who now has a stunning daughter for whom she needed some updated images. I was thrilled to do a location shoot for Sophia, who had turned 13 only days before.
The location was unparalleled; lush green grass, wonderful flowers in full bloom, ponds, babbling brooks, scenic fountains, a gazebo and wonderful foot bridges. I mean this place has it all. I was in photographer’s Heaven!
Sophia’s very best friend (since age 3!) joined us that day to cheer her on and we had so much fun that Sophia’s friend Rachel booked her own shoot for the very next week! Below are a combination of images from both shoots.
One thing about NJ Summers…they can be miserably hot and humid! After our workout getting some fantastic images, the girls ended the second shoot by jumping in the fountain to cool off! I would have joined them if I didn’t need to worry about protecting my camera gear! What fun these two are. I loved meeting them and watching them together. BFFs…glad I have one…aren’t you?
Tutu Much!-Phoenix Children’s Photographer

What’s more fun than chasing around an adorable 4 year old in her beautiful tutu?? Chasing around her 2 year old sister, of course!! The energy pouring out of these two is contagious! Believe it or not, the little one was not entirely sure she wanted anything to do with the tutu (too itchy!) or having her picture taken, in general! But we managed to catch her when she wasn’t expecting it! Touche!

Whenever you’re feeling low and find yourself losing faith, a sure remedy is to spend some time around a brand new person, straight from Heaven. This little angel was 5 days new when I had the pleasure of exposing her to what is surely the first of many photo shoots. Ah…baby love.
